Hi guy this will be the first alarm i try to install i hope you guys can bare with me and help me through it

I have done alot of stereo systems but this just looks over whelming hah

I am working on a 2002 Trailblazer

Alarm - Alert Model 400s

Just a cheapy alarm for the Keyless Entry Functions thats the main goal

The trailblazer does not have factory keyless entry could someone get me a starting point some say i need a module some say i dont some say its only for remote start alarms

I need to know if i need to buy this module or not if someone could let me know what exactly i need to buy to get this thing installed let me know direct links would be great

If interface module is not available, refer to DirectFax document 1053.  Basically using a 1700g from DEI or any other  interface module will control most of your alarm functions which will make the install a breeze.  use doc 1053 for the locks of the car.  I dont have it but im sure you can find it in the download section or if someone is kind enough to post the link.  and by the way  its a real pain to use doc 1053.  better off using a interface module.

As enice has already stated document 1053 is a major PITA to do. You will spend more labor hours on using 1053 than the cost of the data module.
