Hi all:
I have a Code Alarm, Elite 1500 on my GMC Syclone and cannot get a siren to work. When I hook the siren up, it is constantly going off quietly. What could the problem be and how can I fix it? Thanks.

Thats what I thought too but the siren red goes to 12v. and the siren black goes to the alarm module. Do you think the ground for the module is bad? Thanks.

I can't find a manual for the system, are you sure you are using the siren output of the alarm? Generally the black wire goes to ground and the red wire goes to the positive siren output of the alarm. Make sure you are not using the horn output of the alarm ( used to chirp vehicles factory horn) and is usually a negative output.

I have some expeirence with CODE and I really like the units,  but any time the siren didnt go " full throttle" was when the unit had a bad ground.  good luck/

O.K. I did re-ground the main unit, but still have the problem. Is there more than one ground? Thanks for everyones help.
