my 05 xterra has a remote starter by dei put in by the dealer . it all of a sudden started to turn off after a minute, then restart and ran for the full 10-12 minutes. this never did this before. my gas cap is tight, the only thing i can think of is the timer mode? or needs to be reset to default. if the nissan dealer installed this, it should be under warranty?

I'm sure the dealer "had it " installed for them/you. I would take it back to them without a doubt.
