Greetings all!

I have a 1997 Rodeo and I was wanting to know what would it take to have the hatch raise automatically when unlatched?

I was thinking I could use hydrolic actuators, but when the hatch is closed, the lift gate "shocks?" are parallel with both the rear glass and to vehicle's frame so I'm worried that this would just break the glass.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

So, I'm guessing that no one out there has tried this.

Certainly someone has a theory?

How about some "STRONGER"  lift cylinders? The little gas charges units....you know what I mean?

If you get ones that are of simular dimentions, but designed for a heavier hatch.....posted_image
