Hi,
Please forgive my ignorance.
I bought an aftermarket 2 Door Central Locking Kit 5-Wire Actuators
from A1 Electric and have ran into a problem.
When I lock one door the other door will lock but then both doors
will automatically go back to the unlock position. I read my instructions and it said that the rods are unbalanced.
So I just removed both rods from the actuators to see what
would happen. The exact same thing happened. Is the central locking relay bad or am I missing something. Without any rods hooked up to the actuators there is nothing triggering unlock. Why do the actuators go back to unlock after making them go to lock? Shouldn't they go back to unlock only when I make them go back to unlock.
Well. I hope someone can help me make sense out of this problem.

Measure the voltage at the actuators, lock it, you should see 12v / ground at the 2 wires. then when it unlocks the polarity will reverse on the same 2 wires. It should not do this by itself. the 2 wires should rest at nothing [open ckt] Check your wires at the relay pack. make sure they are going to what they are supposed to.

Are both motors 5 wire? If so disconnect the three switch wires (not blue and green) in passenger door and watch problem disappear. Your motors are slightly out of (in line ) alignment, the switch on one side thinke its closed etc etc.

Yes. Both motors are 5 wire.
Red - 12V fused
Black - Ground
Purple - Unlock/Lock Trigger - I figured this from the instructions
Brown - Unlock/Lock Trigger - I figured this from the instructions
Blue - ????
Do I disconnect Black, Purple, and Brown?

What is the best way to to fix the alignment (out of line) problem?
If I disconnect the wires the system will no longer be central locking. Right?

On passenger side only disconnect black which should go to ground. This will still give you door key control of the central locking. Also a neg 2 way momentary switch or neg alarm lock/unlock outputs to the purple and brown leads or at the (blue?) control relay will also control the central locking. Aligning the two motors (solenoids) is simply not worth the time taken, most people unlock their car from the driver's side anyway!
