i worked on one of these cars and i dont see how your suppose to be able to get an antenna ring around the key cylinder in oreder to use a 555u keybox,  when you can barely even get your hands close enough to it. any suggestions? is it easier just to use a pkg4 or a pkg5 from transonderbypass/Trilogix?  and also, techsoft says in order to grab the trunk release wire, you have to get it at a module behind the back seat? is this true? is there an easier spot to grab it?

I haven't done an Aurora specifically.  Is the key cylinder in the steering column, or mounted to the dashboard?  If it's on the column, here's how to get in:

The black plastic piece that accepts the key, with the two thumb tabs, will pry off....it's hard to pry, but it'll come off.  Be careful where you pry so you don't nick up the steering column too much.  Next, the tab that controls the tilt steering can be pulled out.  Then, the bottom of the column shroud is held in place by several Torx screws....once they are removed, you can pry the bottom half off and away.

The next part sounds tricky, but really isn't.  You won't be able to remove the top of the shroud, because it is held in place by one screw that's a little hidden..... you'll have to look around to find it.  It's a very uncommon screw; a reverse Torx.  If you have a 12-point, 4mm deep socket, it'll grab the screw well enough, as long as you're gentle.  After this, the top of the shroud will come off easily so you can mount your 555U ring.

Also, half of the stuff DEI wants you to do is entirely unnecessary, and insanely stupid.  I've done a bunch of GM cars where DEI says to get trunk release behind the back seat...... Seville, LeSabre, Bonneville, Park Avenue.......just get it negative at the release switch; you'll be fine.

Also, you can get the BROWN / white negative parking lights right at the switch; no need to chase down the DIM.

The thin orange constant wire is strong enough to do remote start, as long as you're using only negative parking lights, and no window rollup modules or anything like that.

If you'd like a stronger power source, use the thick orange in the driver's kick panel.

Get a PKG5 they are so easy they may just melt your brain, and they are cheaper then the PKG4.  It takes about 5 minutes to install.

does the pkg5 take care of the passkey and the door locks so you dont have to run wires into the drivers door? or just the passkey?

The PKG5 only does Passkey byapss. Ther is not a module available yet for the door lock system, you will have to go to the driver's door lock switch.
