2001/98 honda prelude

i am installing the viper 791xv into my car and have successfully gotten the alarm portion to work

as you may know there is an immobilizer in my car so i bought the 555d interface

555d: i hooked the wires up to what i think is the immobilizer because there is nothing else that looks like it..
the green wire from the 555d is to plug into the key sense(blue/white) but there are two blue white ones !!

and i also am having issues with the remote start harness from the viper alarm.. can some one help out with the wiring...

The keysense shows ground when the key is inserted. It's the wire that sends a signal to the chime when the key is in the ignition and the door is open. The blue/white is not in the same connector as the immobilizer wires.

yea i know that the blue white wire does not go to the immobilizer.    i'll try and see if i can figure which blue white is the right one.  ... i still have to connect the tach wire(where is the easiest location) and a couple other wires

red connects to the brown wire and black to ground.  As for the remote, sorry buddy but even ebay sells them minimum 80.

I've seen them sell for 100. Heck I sell them for that price.  150 sounds like too much if you ask me.

Not sure where you are looking, but i just ordered one for a buddy tonight for 60 including shipping, NIB off of ebay. The guy has a bunch of listings for this tx. I'm not big on sending someone to ebay, but retail prices on 2 ways are stupid. I just got a tx for my 771xv for $15 versus 80 retail off of ebay.

Tach is a blue lead with a two-way plug coming off engine bay loom near a suspension strut, on UK models it's the driver's side.

Bring the red lead to alarm CPU brown, locally ground or better still bring it back to alarm CPU with a shared ground or join by soldering to black from alarm.

found the tach (its on passenger side for US version)
ok i just got new transmitter in mail from ebay(pretty good source to find replacement)
Oh and to the gentleman above- i want to do this as a learning experience for future reference :)

remote start problem:
1. does not remotestart with out key in on position(means i not wire up d555 correct?)can some one give me some detail on wiring.

2. i KNOW something has to be wired to the CLUTCH since its a 5speed( which wire would that be)

3. the speedo lights flash everytime it tries to remote start- it continues to flash every 5 seconds(is it suppose to?)

1) clutch = blue/black wire above clutch pedal --> needs to see (-); you must use a relay:

85-(-)input while RStarting  --- you can use the status output wire off the viper
86-12volt fused constant
30- chassis ground
87-output blue/black prelude wire

2) the dash lights will come on whenever the park lights come on -- that's probably what you're seeing each r/s attempt

3) 555d has a red wire that needs to see 12 volts constant, a blue wire that needs to be connected to the status output wire of the viper, and a black wire that needs to be connected to chassis ground.  You sure you programmed it properly?

ok i have to get a relay... no problem

well ok (#2) the lights go one as a r/s attempt... question- is it suppose to continue to attempt even after i have started the car by putting the key near the key cylinder and depressed the clutch(since i hav not corrected problem 1)

Are you saying that it the engine is running and that it tried to crank again? Or, did the engine stall and it tried to start?

I remember back when threads that had people putting automatic remote starters in standard transmission cars were immediately locked.

Sounds like he's saying he put the key head next to the transponder reciever and depressed the clutch AND the car started .. yet the remote starter doesn't know that it's running at this point --> so it keeps attempting -->

Tach wire vs. voltage sense ---> which one did you use?

If Tach wire, which wire did you use, and did you tach-learn the brain (for that matter, did you voltage learn the brain?)?
