99 Dodge Durango, Factory Keyless..Not sure if it has alarm, how do i check for that? If so how do i test the factory disarm wire with a multimeter? Installing a dei remote start/alarm.

Easy test, put you drivers window down, lock the doors via the door panel controls. All doors must be closed also. Wait a mintue or so and reach in through the open window and unlock your door then open it, if the horn goes off you have a factory alarm if not you don't. To test for a disarm wire, first find the suspect wire, then attach your meter to the wire, turn your key in the drivers door cylinder and see if you get a reading. It should be 2-3 volts and drop to zero each time you turn the key to unlock the door. Hope this made cents.
