Going to be doing a viper 5900 in one of these. The local shop sold me a bypasskit xk06, but looking at their website the xko1 looks to be the easier to install and gives me lock, unlock and door trigger as well. Is the xk01 the kit to use? Sorry it is a new body style '07 chev ext. cab. with the 6.0L gas. Thanks.

You need both modules. The XK06-PKG9 will interface with the starter functions of the truck and the XK01-GMDL6 will cover the door lock/alarm functions.

They have given me the XK06-Pkg7. So I should get rid of it and get a pkg9, as well as the gmdl6? Is there a more complete vehicle wiring around that someone could post?

directed 1701g will do both. they were pulled and rumor has it we have some on they way .........The are hard to get but I have one personally in 07 Tahoe and it works flawlessly

I have installed a remote start on the 07 silveradeo with the new body style the last digits/letters after the hypen is the software programmed into it.To find out the propoer version go onto the company website that makes the by-pass module.You will need both modules for this application Xk01-gmdl6 does the door locks and also dis-arms the OEM alarm.XK06-PKG9 bypasses the PassKey 3 and also the Pass Lock Anti-theft systems.That's right there is both PK3 and also the Pass Lock on this vehicle.
