Hi guys long time reader first time poster hehe

wrapping up the install of a hornet 553T in my 1994 GMC Jimmy SLT 4 door and I have come to a slight problem

I am attempting to conect the door lock/unlock and the hatch release to the same place  i removed the factory TRW remote keyless entry (brain unit?)

now i can get it so that both passenger doors and rear driverside doors lock / unlock properly but the drivers door lock imediatley becomes useless even using the indoor power lock switch it is as if its dead and it stays this way until i plug the stock TRW unit back in then i regain full functions of all locks using the factory remote and in door controls

also im having problems getting my hatch to release using channel 2 on the hornets remote i believe its sending 200ma and i have no idea if this is infact to low to "pop" the hatch

Thank you in advance for any info/tips/advice you might have also if i have left out any critical details i will try to correct it

Why don't you just leave the TRW brain in there and leave it connected -- does leaving the TRW connected affect functionality of your hornet alarm?

Also -- which wire are you taggin for trunk release?  Usually, I'd wire a relay as follows:

85: trunk/hatch output wire from alarm -200mA

85: 12 volts fused +

30: chassis ground (-)

87: to GMC Jimmy trunk wire (-)

I am going to give that a shot  just tying into the wires and leaving the trw there i had originally planned to just use the trw's harnes as a tie in for estetiques

as far as the hatch goes it worked perfectly the way you would have done it

This project has been alot over my head looking back now i should have had it done in a shop but i did learn a few things

Thank you for your help
