I recently installed an alarm/remote starter in a 2000 S-10 Blazer.  I ham having intermittent problems with the OEM alarm triggering after the new alarm is disarmed.  I'm not sure what is arming the OEM alarm.  What is the best way to disable the OEM alarm?

Why would you want to disable the OEM alarm?  No need to throw away a useful feature.

The factory alarm is armed if you electrically lock the doors while a door is open, and then close the door........ you should see the Security light come on steady for ten seconds, and then go out.  If you were to close the door before locking it, the factory alarm would not arm.

There should be a light green wire in the harness coming in from the driver's door.  It will test as a ground when you insert the key in the door, and turn it to the unlock position.  Tie your remote starter's "factory disarm" output here.
