..got another quick question about the '99 accord -->

I'm using the ORANGE / white (disarm -) wire of the 2wss-as brain to pulse the BLUE (-) wire in the driver's door to diarm the factory security just prior to r/s-ing the vehicle and when unlocking the car -->

3 or 4 out of 5 times, the car remote starts no problem and does NOT set off the factory alarm -- however, 1 or 2 times out of 5 it'll set off the honda factory alarm when the customer r/s-ed the car -- what am I doing wrong?  All connections are intact and sealed properly.

If I can't figure this out, i'll have to resort to programming the brian for unlock->r/s->re-lock .. not a big fan of that (for security/safety) purposes.

Thanks

If you "break" the ign. feed to the factory security module while remote statrting the proble will be solved.

There is a  yellow wire in the green plug, at the end of the plug with no wire below it. behind the glove box. Cut this wire. the half of the wir goin INTO the plug, will go to pin 30, the other hal;f will go to 87a. Put  12volts fused at maybe 5 amps, on 86, and use your ground while running to trigger 85. NOTHING on 87.

When you remote start, the wire will be opened cause the ground while running will trigger the relay disconnecting the yellow ign. wire.

Quick question -->

if the customer doesn't care about the Honda security system, can I just leave the yellow wire CUT (i.e. without the relay triggered by status)?

thanks Kar.

I, myself, would not mess with the integrity of the factory stuff. Other than this tiny little bypass! (problems down the road) Its just as easy to do a proper interface....ya know!
