I diid a RS on an 03 Passat Wagon, has anybody had  any problem with this car starting in very cold weather. I used a TACH wire.

555u DEI transponder Bypass.

I've read in some other posts from DEI that this is the culprit. ( Not the 555U unit exactly, but just the bypass module ). When it gets colder the trim ring contracts and slips off the key cylinder a bit. Just re-arange the ring & your set.
