To beat the dome light delay, go to each door module located in each door. The wires are : RED / white for drivers door, RED / green for front right door, RED / white for left rear door, and RED / yellow for right rear door. the tach is Located inside the ECU box which is under hood on the drivers side. Victory technologies states that it is pin 16 for the tach.  Not saying that either is right , thats why you must test  with a DMM before connecting.  Good Luck

as far as the tach wire goes, just connect to the fuel injector.  I do it to just about every car.  Use the wire that is not common on all injectors (i.e. if the injectors on bank 1 were wired like this:  INJ1- white & black, INJ2- white & purple, INJ3 - white & blue, you would connect to any injector, but the wire that is NOT white)

TACH SIGNAL SEE NOTES
For the 3L, use any of the 3 coil wires at the igniter under the hood on the driver's shock tower. They are WHITE, BLACK and BLACK/ RED. On the 4.3L, use one of the injectors.
FUEL INJECTOR Wire opposite of BLACK/ white At any injector on engine   AC
