Finished my installation and everything was cool for a couple weeks. I went back to rerun my wires and organize them a bit better, and now all of a sudden my door trigger is being tripped. Obviously I am not riding around with my doors open but somehow that wire must be seeing ground. I think it must be: A) the wire from one of my triggers might be damaged and touching metal, B) the diode from the door is failing (is that possible?0 are there other possibilities that I could be missing? Thanks for the help in advance.

Worked fine for a couple weeks? Then started triggering .....with your truck rolling down the raod? What did you use for door trigger? And why would it trigger while driving, it shouldn't be "armed" There are 2 possible places to get door trigger. At the keyless module, OR at an under dash light. What did you install ? (what type of unit) -------------

I should have been more specific, I installed a Viper 350HV, and when I say door trigger being tripped what I mean to say is that my dome light stays on as if my door is open. When I arm the alarm it makes 2 deeps as if the door is open. What do you think?

Dome light delay maybe... ? If the dome light takes a bit of time to turn off...the alarm will think the door is open. I believe the unit should be able to be programed to ignore the dome upon arming? Someone else will chime in on this I'm sure. -------------

that is correct Kartuneman. This is a feature on the alarm. Its called "door sensor bypass chirp". Look up the manual and turn off the feature

Thanks for the responses guys, but I didn't hook up the dome supervision output for the alarm so unless I am missing something it can't be the dome light relay. I am going to test the wires here shortly and see what I can find

It has nothing to do with domelight supervision, domelight supervision simply turns the domelight ONwhen you disarm/unlock. Just read about programing the dome delay OUT!

If you used the yellow wire as a door trigger it will give you a chirp. Only way to stop this is to go an get individual door triggers or turn off door sensor bypass.

Dome delay is.... after you close the door, it takes up to 30 seconds for the dome light to shut off/down. Some alarms, when you lock and arm, see the dome being on, means the door is open, means someone is breaking in, means it's time to sound the alarm....... Glad to hear you got er done! -------------
