I recently installed a Breathalizer into a 2007 2500 ram deisel. The breathalizer works just like a starter interupt. basically, once you pass, the relay closes, and allows you to start. (closing the connection for the starter) anyway, the doorlocks on the remote do not work before you pass. I think the car thinks the key is in the ingition. has anyone ever had any experience with this? any input is appreciated. THANKS.

I don't even see a BLACK/ white wire listed in a wiring diagram for a 2007 Ram.

There is no real starter wire at the ignition switch. Only the PURPLE / brown start/accessory wire which I don't recommend you interrupt. Have you tried looking for:
Starter yel/gry + near battery, gray plug

no, i really haven't. For one, i didn't have any form of wiring diagram when i installed this, and , i really try my best to not go under the hood if all possable. Most of the time these interlocks are installed for a short period of time (less than 6mos.) so I try to keep it simple.. However, if thats the only way, i guess thats what i'l be doing from now on... I was hoping to not treat these new dodge's like all the new GM's.. They are a pain in the butt.. I have a friend at a local shop, he is contracted with the State (Washington) to install these darn things (I was "almost" a customer of his) The unit's he installs, the manufacturer has technical support for him! lowrders... are you in the business of installing these? If so, have you contacted the producers, or the folks you buy them from...? They SHOULD be able to help you!

KartuneMan, Thats funny as hell.. what company does your friend work for in washington? If its Ignition Interlock, thats our company.. however, its seperate from Us, i don't know any of the installers up there.. We (the installers) aren't really contracted by the state.. at least not in Iowa. anyway, I hate to be modist but i install the most in our company, so i kind of am the "tech Support" people come to me for advice, not often, but we all just pool our info on situations like this. But really most cars are not too difficult, exept a lot of the brand new cars. I'm glad in a way i don;'t do remote starts anymore, although in the last 1.5 years bypass modules have gotten to the point a monkey could almost wire a remote start.. (no offense ment by that anyone!)..
