My first post was a disaster.

Take two:

I have 1989 jeep wrangler that I run mostly with not much top and no doors in the summer. Winter, the doors and top go back on. No power windows or locks. Dome light does not work when doors are opened.
I bought a bargain pager alarm and a separate motion sensor to install.
The alarm has keyless door that I will not use.
I enclosed the diagrams I have. I hope you can see them ok, because my questions hinge on them.

Questions:
1) Do the wires in the Central wiring diagram pertain to the door locks only, and if so do
I just not do anything with them?

2) Can I use the blue wire out off the P7 as a trigger wire for the motion sensor or would        you use something different? It is labeled “side door trigger wire”.

3) I am guessing that the Vibration Sensor is the same as a Shock Sensor?

4) I am not using the trunk wire so just leave it alone?

I think that I have figured out the rest off it, but any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Gerald

1) Central wiring diagram has MUCH more than just door locks... are you just using this as an alarm to be set off if the door trigger indicates an open door?

2) what does P7 blue wire connect to .. i can't understand the hieroglyphics of this diagram -- is that a door trigger?

3) leave the trunk wire alone -- cut it short and tape it off.

4) vibration = shock sensor, yes.

Out of pure curiosity -- this is just me taking a mental survey of people that post about inexpensive (i.e. CHEAP) alarm/remote-starters they purchase online (ebay, website, etc) -->

1) how much money do you think you saved over .. say a more noteable product like Viper, Clifford, Ultrastart, Compustar?

2) with the difficulty in installation and LACK of features and unknown reliablity, is it ultimately worth the savings? I'm not judging you, I'm just purely curious.  I figure if something were important enough to install an alarm system (particularly a paging alarm system), it'd be worth the extra ... say .. $100 bucks (at most) to get something a little more well understood and worthwhile.

Again, not judging, and I'm happy to help.

Since I have no doors on the jeep allot of the time, I do not want to hook up any

wires to the doors. I do want to install the movement sensor inside the jeep.
