I just ripped out the 791xv I had in my old Civic and moved it into my new 4runner that I'll be needing for college - anyway, when I bought the 4runner it had a Python 1400xp remote start system in it already, but what I wanted to know is, can I use the extra remote from that system and transfer it over to the 791xv system?

you need to put in the antenna and cable from the 791 and then you can program the responder remote but the python remotes will not work. also you would not have an alarm like the 791 has. 1400 is r/s and keyless only.

basically all I want is a extra remote for the parentals to be able to arm/disarm my truck if they want to drive it. I don't need the responder tech. at all. One thing I did find is that if I splice in the other antenna from the python system, would that make the other remote function? I doubt that as it must be different systems, but just in hopes...
