What type of power door lock wiring does this vehical have. It is a 1993 Chevy S10 Blazer 4X4 4-door and I am installing an Astra 50 keyless entry unit.

LOCK | Lt.blue | In driver's kickpanel | Rev Pol | | | If the vehicle is equipped with keyless entry, the doorlocks will be a Positive pulse doorlock system. |
| UNLOCK | BLACK/ white or BLACK/ red | In driver's kickpanel | Rev Pol | | | If the vehicle is equipped with keyless entry, the doorlocks will be a Positive pulse doorlock system. |

Seems also that if you have a 4door then its a positive door locks. If its a 2 door then it is Rev Pol.

OK, so it was a positive trigger for 4-door. Thanks a lot. Now I am trying to get the illuminated entry to work. The Astra 50 is supposed to have a built in relay for it. My wiring info for 1993 S10 Blazer says the door trigger is the pin switch (white wire) but when I hook it up there nothing happens. Is my truck a negative or positive trigger (says negative in my info) or am I just hooking it to the wrong place? Anybody know??

Are you using the bulb (white wire) for your door trigger? If not this is a sure thing, and easy to get to. Use this for dome light supervision.

Does the bulb have to be good (not blown) to make it work? Because my bulb is blown under the dash.

OK, tried hooking to white wire for bulb under dash, still does nothing.

Does the "dome light" come on when you open the doors?
