Probably not. I do believe the 2008 is the first year of the new body style.

Alarm is easy.

Use the wire diagram from an 07 mits outlander. ign, starter, accy, door triggers, are all the same and in the same location.

Trunk pin is BROWN / white in the same plug as the 4 door triggers.

Lock - yellow/red
unlock- gray.

Drivers kick (door boot)

Pretty easy, Knee airbag is a a bit of the pain for have to work over/around it, Getting through the firewall is a pain.

Remote start is on hold. The only thing that I havent gotten is how to get around the mechanical ign switch that lets the starter engage.

in order for the starter to engage, you have to push in the key cylinder (the black part that holds the key), then apply power to the ign and accy, then apply power to the starter wire, IN THAT ORDER. I tried to power up ign then accy. then starter.. the relay clicks, but started doesnt turn. Only way to get starter to turn is the above process.
