I have notice that my 508d warn away range has been reduced after some time after arming , like 1 hour .
When i arm the car the range will be where i set it.So if you go close to the car (almost any where)it will trigger the warn away.
come back in about 30mins or longer you will have to go right up to the car only in certain places and only then it will trigger.
This is in a garage.

do temperature affect the 508d?

No but clouds do.

Make sure that the 508 isn't in parallel with the 504.

Move the location of the 508 to the headliner you will get better results..
