i have a black widow  bw z5  with remote start and also installed dei 530t (i think).the remote start has a manual transmission mode where u press the unlock button, engine remains running and u step out of the vehicle then press the lock button. engine shuts down and now u are able to do remote start. but it doesnt work for me. the exit sequence is performmed properly but still not starting. but  it does remote start if i  put the dip switch in automatic transmission mode...

any ideas?

im trying to get the remote start to work on manual transmision mode. just one stepp at  a time. the test button on the remote start does work when i put the remote start module. its the black widow bz-z5. i perfom the exit sequence :

:place car in neutral and apply parking brake

: press manual mode button, the display shows the car is now running

:remove key from the ignition, door unlocks and i step outside. engine remains running

:press lock button and car stops running and locks.

after this sequence.. u should now be able to do a remote start. but it doesnt. i just gett beeps from the two way transmitter. all doors are close and also the hood is closed. the trunk input is not used.

what do you guys  think?

thanks

After you get out of the car and hit the LOCK button, the car shuts off. Does the dome light turn on after that?

i have the dooml light outpoot connected to the dei 530t wich rolls up the window. and that does work.  the problem was  already happenning before installed the window rollup. for some reason the system doesnt seem to think that i did the exit sequence.

This is frustrating....I ask you questions, and you answer different questions.

The most likely cause is going to be a problem with the door trigger.
What wire in the car did you connect the door trigger input of the remote start to?
Color of that wire?
(+) or (-) trigger?

i just confirmed the door trigger wires. this is what i have

the wire from the alarm module is connected to the  - (negative) door trigger of the car. the wire i connected it to is a RED / white wire.

got it to work. this is what i did. there was an ignition 2 output from the alarm was supposed to be +12volt  on ignition/12volts on cranking. but i had it on a wire wich dropped the voltage when cranking. the other thing i checked was the door trigger. one door wasnt triggering.. it always showed closed but sometimes would work. so i figured maybe there is a slight signal from that door trigger and it was messing up the alarm. so  i fixed that and  the remote start sequence works just fine.  now i am moving to problem number 2

i installed a Dei 530t (older withought dip switches) the window rolls up on lock but only rolls down on auxilary up until 30 secounds after the modul sends the window up. if i lock the car and wait for more than a minute.. it wont roll down on auxilary. the one touch feature works ok. every thing else seems to be ok.

i connected the dei 530 ground when armed wire to the dome light output from the alarm and set it for 10 secounds ground when armed. i have testted the auxiallary output and it does show  negative out put when activated but it only last for 0.8 secounds. i have tried programming it to be latch or up to 30 seconds but it still outputs the signal for 0.8 seconds. i dont know if this helps but the  ground when arm input wire from the 530t has a constant 5 volt  and the auxilarry input as well.. should there be a reading on those wires when they arent connected to the auxitllary and ground when armed wires?

the car is 98 corolla with blackwidow -z5  and dei 530t. thanks
