The first thought that comes to my mind is that the parking light output is parking light "flash" ..... It pulses. What I think your trying to do is to turn the domelight on? correct? With that said, I would say no, your diagram is not correct. Plus, I see 87a, and 30 going 2 different directions. When the relay is at "rest" 87a, and 30 are "closed" together This looks as if it might cause a problem?

ok, tanx  for your advice. forget about the relay, what about if i splice the unlcok wire from keyless entry and connect a wire and the other end of the wire is going to connected to the door trigger with a diode . do you think this will work?    my car is positive door trigger and positive door lock/unlock

If you open and close the door does the domelight stay on for a while (like 30 seconds) or does it shut off right away?

If it stays on, splitting the unlock output would work. You would be better off using 2 relays to split the signal. The domelight circuit is going to be high current. If the keyless entry has built in relays, than you could get away with splitting the output with 6 amp diodes. 3 amp diodes would probably work as well...1 amp diodes would probably burn out.

If the correct lock unlock wires are used, unlock will turn on dome lights, nothing else is neccessary, if '97, body control, purple quadplug, pin 4 lock, and diode to unlock* , pin 17 unlock, pos going.

** Hold lock for 2 secs to deadlock, hold for 8 secs to close windows.

hi, JWorn yes my domelight stay on for a while when i open and close the door, howie II on my car pin 3 and 16 for lock /unlock . so here is what happened yesterday searching the door trigger wire and i found out that the the car is neg. door trigger not pos. that i posted yesterday. so therefore i had a neg. door trigger and pos. unlock door. so I used a relay to convert pos.unlock pulse to neg. pulse

85  ground, 30 ground, 86 unlock pos. pulse fr. keyless entry,  87 conncet to the door trigger, 87a  empty

in this situation i didn't used any diode( fr.87 to door trigger wire) bec. when I press the unlcok button it energized 85 & 86 and there's  continuity in 30 & 87 just in a single pulse after that pulse no continuity in 30 & 87. and the domelight on when i press the unlock button and off when i press unlock button. is there any problem in my connection? sorry for my poor english
