Does this truck have a remote starter installed?

is your security light flashing when trying to start the truck with the key? If so Turn the key to the on postiion and leave your door open for about 30 mintues. That resets your passlock.

I was under the impression the door neededs to be closed with ingtion on.   Roll down window, reach in and turn on ingtion, leave till flashing stops, then start.  Should take about ten minutes.

Is the security light flashing when it shuts off? Or easier yet whats the security ligh doing when you start it up and it shuts off? make sure to close the door when starting it, I believe it flashes when the door is opened.

Will it even crank?

if its not cranking it could be some sort of starter kill (if he has an after market alarm installed or if not could be a malfunctioning pass lock)
