When installing a compustar alarm.. Is it possible to use the arm/disarm output wires to arm/disarm the factory alarm and thus not need to hook up the door lock/unlock wires from the compustar unit?

Basically is there any problem with letting the factory alarm lock/unlock the doors instead of direct from the compustar alarm?

I would hook the door lock wires up to the arm and disarm of the car, and forget about the arm and disarm off the compustar. This is assuming that arm and disarm of the vehicle will lock and unlock the vehicle. Alot is gonna depend on what kind of vehicle you have.

Actually I hooked up majority of the alarm lastnight so I just hooked up the lock/unlock wires of the compustar to the power lock/unlock wires of the car and also hooked the compustar arm/disarm output wires to the arm/disarm wires of the factory alarm..
