Last week I had to fit remote locking module to a new VW polo it had factory fitted C/Locking but the customer wanted remote finding the feeds where easy but the locking was a bit of a pain but got there in the end it was found to be single wire both locking and un locking a thin grey wire coming out off the drivers door it was neg polarity 12volt 1 way but 6volt the other so you need to fit a 1000 ohm ressiter i hope this might help sombody in the future after talking to another delear it also is on the Passat this type of locking so i guess it will be same through out the range of models bye

thats standard practice on almost all the VW/Audi range. The only difference is the value of the resistor.
