CAN-SL2? XK510? Thanks in advance (btw, I would prefer one unit to do imm. bypass AND doorlocks/triggers/tach/defroster but I don't mind having two units) ------------- The search function is your friend.

With the CAN-SL2 -- do i also need a data transponder? How do you like the Honda-SL2? ------------- The search function is your friend.

hands down. The Honda SL is a solid product and yes you do need that in addition to the cansl2. I prefer the Honda SL over the 556HW any day.

I agree, the Honda SL or SL2 is a much better module and yes you will need this along side the CANSL2 in order for the vehicle to remote start and control off the extra's.

I have the CAN-SL ... is this good enough for the "extras?" or is the CAN-SL2 that much more superior in terms of reliablity and compatibility? (based on the manufacturer's listing, it just states that the CAN-SL2 has a two way communcation system?) ------------- The search function is your friend.

Thats a port that makes the bypass connect directly to the aftermarket alarm(that supports it). its a D2D connection. There's cases where it would be connected as a W2W. Example, DEI systems do not have that connection in which case you would connect it wire to wire. You shouldn't have any issue in regards to it. Just make sure you solder all your connects and it should be done very fast. Good Luck

the xpresskits xk loader platforms are my choice.
xk 510 with hodl 2.03 software will do doorlocks security and transponder but will need to use a key. or you can use an xk01 with hodl2.03 for locks asnd an xk 05 with pkh3 software for the trans two modules but no key
