In the installation instructions for the Viper 5000 it states that:

H1/9 BLACK/ WHITE wire - high current output from on-board domelight supervision relay.
Connect this wire directly to the domelight circuit in the vehicle. The on-board relay will drive circuits up to 20 amperes. The polarity of this output is determined by the connection of the input wire H2/A in the Relay Harness.

NOTE: If the input wire H2/A is not connected, there will be no output on this wire.

This may be a dumb question but the the H2 Auxiliary harness has the wires H2/1 to H2/8 with none marked H2/A. Can anyone tell me what the heck they are talking about? :)

Thanks,

Mike

According to the manual posted here the dome light input wire is the H3/A BLACK/ White on the door lock harness connector. Have a look at page 12.

So just for clarification, the "H2/A" is likely a typo in the manual and it is supposed to say "H3/A"?

So I assume I should connect the H3/A to the negative wire (my door triggers are (-) based) of my dome light as that would trigger the dome on normally which will complete the circuit of the relay inside the alarm? Sorry if this is a stupid question...
