I've bought a Vw Corrado G60 1989 where a Clifford Avantguard 4 with Intellistart 4 is installed. Some previous owner did it with certificate.

When the alarm is triggerd and I try to remotely start the enige the pinkers will blink one time and nothing happens. For remotely starting the pinkers must blink two times.

I've checked all the wiring which seems to be ok. 12V and ground are good. The handbrake switch has been installed to a permanently ground which the alarm always thinks that the handbrake is on. This shouldn't be a problem for remotely starting.

I've looked at the manual but the error isn't know.

Who has any idea what's wrong?

1 blink means something, check owners manual, is hood switch working properly?

I've checked it but errors will start upon two blinks. I've just tested the hood switch and the alarm will go off when I open the hood.

If tach not correct, vehicle will either run with starter motor engaged or for 15 secs. then shut down, didn't that vehicle have a coil with a green lead? That's your tach pick-up.
