I am adding a remote start to my existing oem keyless entry. The remote start asks for a neg pulse from the door lock. Pressing the lock 3 times activates the remote start. I have a 2007 F150 that is only giving me constant neg from the door lock. This of course cause the remote start to keep starting with no trigger input. Need some help please.

Thanks

I need a -pulse when door is locked. I need the door switch to send a neg pulse when locked to activate the starter.

This lead is constant ground. The lock wires rest at ground.

I have since found that there is no pulsed neg output from the oem keyless.

Thanks

You can easily use a relay to invert the Ford's positive doorlock-motor-wire pulse, to a ground, to activate the remote starter.

Check out the "relays" section on this site.

Also, you'll want to verify that the Ford remote still works when the engine is running-----if it doesn't, you'll have to open the door with the key when remote started.

the pink yellow and pink green do not rest at ground they are nehative triggers. im guessing youre pulling the pink yel greens from the plug in the dkp these are not the right ones. they are in the sil plate (rocker panel). I worked for the biggest busiest ford dealer in western canada top 5 in the nation for three years. they are there ive done well over a 1500 of them

true, but they arent pulsed by the factory key fobs. you would have to use the drivers door lock motor wire which is positve, so a relay is necessary.
