Hi, im installing a viper 771xv. I am a bit confused. i also believe i have installed a few wires in the wrong place. For the thicker gauge +12v DC wires on the relay satellite, are those supposed to go directly on the battery? I was going to plug them into the +12v constant ignition wire. Also, i dont believe my car has an immobilizer. How do i check without getting a new key from wal-mart? And whats the deal with diodes/resistors? When do i need to use them?

Get an alarm/remote starter designed for a manual transmission. The Viper you have will not work safely. When you leave the car in gear and remote start it will launch forward.
You have an immobilzer.
You should only need 2 diodes for the parking light wires, since the left and right side lights are on seperate wires. I would recommend using 6 amp diodes. 3 amp diodes may work ok, 1 amp diodes will definately burn up. You won't need any resistors on this car.

I keep reading that. I never leave my car in gear, but i think i will do a switch. So are the 12v high current wires supposed to go to the battery? Or is the ignition wire suffice?

If you are a die hard DEI fan then wait a few weeks. I was at one of their trainings and saw the module that works on manual transmission vehicles. I think its called the 689T???? Its basically a "reservation mode' add-on but used on DEI products.
