I am trying to do a remote start in a new Mercedes C230 2007, I need the wiring guide if anyone can help. DEI also says not to do it, its a laser cut key and they want me to put in a second key cylinder! If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it!   :^:

If you really want info then you can get info from the Mitchell 1 guides.  They may have the 2007 wiring for that vehicle.  Also my question is that the customer wants to change out the key cylinder?  Too much to handle and if at all possible.  Guaranteed to void vehicle warranty.  Don't bother with it.  Laser Key=no remote start.

I have yet to read about a successful laser-key car remote starter install.....apparently some guy in wisconsin has a shop that does them .. but he's apparently come up with some device to bypass the immobilizer unit in the benz's.

Its easy !! All the customer has to do is spend about £1000 ($2000) on a duplicate magic key and switch parallel wire them, say goodbuy to the vehicle warantee and try and catch up with me as I run away from getting involved, especially when this bloody topic comes up every 2 months or so!!posted_image

I usually listen to dei if they say to not do something.
