I have a 800 IQ and my remotes always have to be pressed 3-5 times to arm and disarm the alarm.  I disconnected the antenna for five minutes, checked the connections and replace one battery.  I still have to push my button many times to get this alarm to work.  Could this be that two remotes when bad at the same time, the antenna or the brain?   Any other ideas???

thanks

Check and if resolder the battery holder in the remotes at the same time changing the (CR 2032) battery. If it's a 4 button with that battery, that's probably your problem.

Thanks for the reply howie, but my remote is a 4 button plus one on the side and it takes a A23 battery.  I just tried playing with all the contacts and my remote only seems to work after pressing the main button about 3 or 4 times.  I am still happy that my alarm can be turned on and off but this is getting old fast.  I just ordered another remote and hopefully this will rule out my remote being the problem.  I should know by Wednesday and I'll post my results.
