Thanks for all the replies. Another question is how will the vehicle know when to crank over?

actully what i am looking for is someone who knows what resitance is needed on the wires at the rocker switch (which wires and resitance values) also the resitance for the brake that works sence it is more like a petionometer. sorry for the bad spelling
thanks again

Why would you need the resistence of the brake? The brake would be an input, not an output.
I've never herad of a car using a potentiometer for the brake pedal, only gas. Interesting.

I did some searching around and found that there a few cars using brake by wire systems. That's pretty cool. Anyway, you wouldn't want to interface with the pot for several reasons, liability being #1 and warranty work #2. You need a '12vdc when brake pedal is pushed' signal, so I would advise you to tap the brake light wire. It should be straight 12vdc when the pedal is pushed. ------------- Kevin Pierson

to start the car you actully have to press the brake and it is not a switch it is a potentionmeter so i need to send a signle to the brake wire to allow the car to crank over..
side note a five wire relay during start will not work it throws service stability control system code no clue why but what ever.
at the back of the switch the wire color is light green with white stripe. ground trigger threw a 1.5 ohm resitor activates crank, acc, and ign the same wire also is the shutoff threw a .330 ohm if you just want to power acc use .420 ohm
thank you everyone

The brake potentiometers are referred to as BASS. Brake Analog Sensor Switch. (or to that degree) They are used to interact with the ABS and Stability control nowadays. Panic Stops, etc...
You need to be careful with this because these switches go through a "learning or adaptation phase" out of the plant. Hence, the values may not be the same on all vehicles. They are using the same technology on clutches too. (Manufacturers are able to omit using two switches, Cruise and Start safety in place of one) Referred to as CASS.
Are you able to measure the voltage coming off of the brake switch and then calculate the reistance value?
