new to the forum so bear with me. I currently have a 2006 F350 PSD with a viper 160xv remote start/alarm - remote start and alarm worked fine until I decided to try and make a change with the alarm chirping when lock/unlocked. Now.. truck will remote start 3/5 times and when it starts it only runs for +/- 10sec.

any thoughts on how to get this working again with a bitwriter? I have changed 2/1 - 2/2 - 2/5 options trying to get it to work with no luck..

any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the truck has antigrind from the factory then the following would work:

The original installer probably programmed the unit for voltage sensing, 4 second crank time, and engine checking off.

To test if the truck has factory antigrind....start truck with key and continue to hold key in start position. Does it continue to crank or does it stop cranking on its own after it starts?

If it doesn't have antigrind, you will need to adjust the cranking time so it cranks long enough to start, but not so long to grind the starter. Somewhere between 1.2 and 2.0 seconds should work. Program the other settings for voltage sensing and engine checking off.
