Whats the difference in the Viper 5000, 5900 and 791XV alarms?
I was under the Impression that the 5000 was basically the 791 with the upgraded range technology. Whats this 5900 then? I was looking on wooferetc.com and it seems the 5900 has a higher MSRP but is on sale so actually lower priced then that 5000? Thanks guys

The 5900 is the latest version of the 791xv. Uses the SST remote and antenna for more range, few more options programming-wise, more aux channels, etc. 791xv is no longer I believe, as the 5900 has replaced it.
The 5000 is the 2 way, responder alarm only. Identical to the 3000. Different remotes. Does not do remote start. Totally different animal than the 5900.
