on a 1999 grand prix gt and compustar cm3000, diode isolated both doors, seem to work fine when tested w/ volt meter. Have factory alarm still hooked up but w/ disarm wire. Can't figure out why alarm randomly says a door is open. Any help is appreciated, thanks

actually, it looks like once the triggers go on and sound the alarm (maybe 20 min after alarm armed), they stay on for good...What's going on here

Every 25 to 35 minutes the PCM module will try to talk to the doors. Fix is to cut the door trigger, add diode between the connection then grab door trigger on door pin in front of diode.

Hope that helps :)

That sounds great and what I was looking for, but I'm not quite that advanced yet. Cut the wires I already have for the triggers, diode them, and then grab the signal right before the diode on the alarm side or door side? Thanks,, appreciate it

Door side, you want it that way so when the door is opened the alarm goes off.

Im still kinda lost... I have it like this (or like this https://64.85.6.129/extrainfo/diagrams/840_GRAND-PRIX_(-)%20NEGATIVE%20DOOR%20PIN%20ISOLATION%20CIRCUIT.pdf )

But your sayin do it like this?
Wouldn't that kinda be the same thing? And this will stop the PCM from falsely saying the door is open?
