I have experience with wiring and such but Im new to car electronics. I got a GSM/GPS alarm and the installation info is vague and unclear to me. Im trying to install it in a 2000 civic si.

This is the wiring diagram given to me from the manufacturer:

What color/location for the negative battery wire for the civic?

Also, how do I connect the siren/blinkers to this harness? There is only one wire on the harness while there are two wires (positive/negative)for the siren and blinker lights

This is the diagram of the locking system. I have no idea what this means or what wires i am connecting to this

This was kinda hard for me to explain...if anything is unclear let me know...thanks for the help

The "neg Battery wire " is connected via a 6.4mm ring terminal to an earthing bolt, there are a few under dash, e.g.at hood release . The lock diagramme is right, 2 leads in plug above driver kickwell or fuse/BCI box, really if you are asking these questions you shouldn' t be attempting to do this yourself.

This is a diagram for the BUILT IN door lock relays.you see the N.O., (normally open) is put to ground! This is pin 87 on a standard relay. The COM (common) is the connection you make at the lock/unlock wires of the car. This is pin 30 on a standard relay. N.C is not used, it is pin 87a. White=lock, WHITE/ black=unlock .

Battery negative is simply chassis ground.   Unlock should be GRN/ORNG, and lock is GRN/WHT. Found in the drivers kick in the white keyless module.

Does it look like i may need any diodes for this install?

I ask cause i wired everything up pretty much directly and the module is working but its inconsistant

itll work for 5 min then become unresponsive then start workin again...POS alarm or install error?
