Hi Everyone, I'm having a problem with my mom's GrandAm. The car turns off when driving and usually starts up again in a few minutes. There is a spot under the stirring column to put the key into (maybe) to able or disable the security system. Does any one know how to disable the factory security completely or remove it. What is it called and where is it located in the car. Thanks

That isn't a factory system. Most likely and aftermarket ignition disable circuit. You will have to take apart the underdash area by the driver's knee and trace back the wires that attach to the key cylinder wires that run along side the steering column & remove the wires that are attached to the factory wires.
