I have a 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab, (2) Crime Stopper CS-5601 4 Window control modules, and a RS1704TW2 Remote Start unit.

I have installed many remote starters but never a window module. What I am wanting to do is have the windows go down with an AUX button press on my RS1704TW2 remote and have the windows go UP when I lock the doors with the lock button on my RS keyfob.

I really am clueless as to how to accomplish this and I'm hoping someone can help. Below are the directions for the 5601 and my window wiring.

Can someone at least help me with wiring one module?

I'm going to be using my AUX (-) output of my RS but not sure how to hook up the CS5601.

Much appreciated.

I just installed a Crimestopper RS1704TW2 in my 05 Dodge Ram Quad Cab.. Install was easy and smooth..

A couple questions.. The A/C and rear defrost.. If I have either of those on when I shut off the vehicle they don't turn back on when I start the vehicle back up. This has nothing to do with the RS as it was like this before the install..

My question is there any way to get them to stay on? In the summer the whole point of using my RS is for the A/C but if it doesn't remember it was on when I cycle off / on than what is the point?

Same with the rear defrost...

Any input? Thanks!

the rear defrost will turn off everytime you turn the key off, leaving the switch on will not cause the defrost to come back on, you need to use an aux out and turn on the rear defrost after you remote start the car on Crimestoppers..I don't believe these units have an option to supply a ground after the vehicle is started..

The A/C should turn on if you left it on before shutting down your car with the ignition key, I have never seen it otherwise..but then again I never really ck for AC..most use it for heater only.

If I set it up like that would it come on EVERY remote start (even when I don't need it to)?

if you hook it to an aux out it will only turn on only when you press the aux button on your transmitter, if you hook it up to a ground after the car starts it will turn on everytime you remote start it..but the car must be running 'before' you turn on the defrost..

Dang.. Both of those options suck. I do have an AUX output but I was going to use that for the window module (if I can get help wiring it up).

Yea, A/C doesn't work during a remote start.. I didn't hook up an accessory 2 wire because I also needed IGN2..
