I am changing the remote start in a 2003 Chevy Avalanche Z71 to a code alarm CA-680.  Can anyone give me a connect to connect instruction using a GMDL-BP, 555L, and Code Alarm 680? Do I even need the 555L anymore?

if you have the gmdlbp you won't need the 555l.

Can anyone offer a wire to wire diagram or instruction for the Code Alarm CA-680 and the GMDL-BP to a 2003 Chevy Avalanche Z71?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
