I have installed a scytek astra 4000rs in my 2007 dodge ram 150. RS does not fire but will crank. I tried directed 1084 but still cant get it. Now truck won't start with key either. I disconnected everything to get truck to start but it still won't. Could i have tripped something? I checked all fuses under hood and they seem to be fine. Please help, I am now dead in the water.

I was running a 12+ supply for an amplifier that I was instaling under the seat so I tied in the constant 12 volts to the 4 gauge wire that I ran to the amp.

When i turn the key to crank the truck no longer cranks it just shuts down everything. Ex: radio works fine when turn to run, then as soon as turn to crank it shuts it down and will not come back on until I turn key off then back on, but no matter what i try the key will still not crank engine. At least the rs will try to turn engine over. Still lost

Have you checked ALL of the trucks fuses?

I checked every fuse in the fuse block under the hood. Unless there is another fuse block that I am unaware of I have no fuses blown. It acts as if there is a dead short from the way it just shuts off whem I turn the ignition to crank.

There "should be" a fuse box IN the truck...... I cannot imagine Chrysler wanting their truck owners to have to get under the hood to check for a toasted fuse.

There definitely is a cabin fuse box .. check under the steering column and then towards the driver's kick panel.

Did you try resetting the positive terminal of the battery?

What did you do for your immobilizer bypass? Universal or Data-bypass?

According to the owner's manual and my own visual inspection I can not locate a cabin fuse box? As far as a bypass, I had not worried about that yet. I was told that if i mounted a key to the ignition (through the transponder ring) that it would work. I had not tried that as of yet because I had just left the key in the ignition during the entire process. I have left the battery disconnected for over 1/2 hour trying to reset computer to no avail. I have been told that Chrysler has a safety mechanism installed on anything newer than 2005 that after so many attempts has to be reset from the dealer. Does that make sense?

I have seen this problem before.  unplug the ignition plug and the transponder plug.  insert the key.  remove key.  plug the plugs back in, insert key, wait for key security to register, start vechicle.

It sounds like the battery in the truck is dead now.
