1995 accord remote start problem

I ran some searches prior to posting so hopefully this is not an annoying double post.

First the car/alarm details:
1995 Accord EX 4cyl
Installed alarm is an older (2002ish) Viper Python with remote start. Regrettably, I do not still have the boxes or manuals anywhere.

Problem:
Car will not start with the key. It cranks but does not light off.
Car will start with the remote. I get in, turn the key to "on" and when I step on the brake the car dies. Back to trying to start with the key to not avail.

Weird symptom:
If I remove the fuse from the positive line that connects to the battery terminal the car will start when the fuse is re-inserted. No key in the ignition or use of the remote. Just starts right up and runs.

The fact that it runs when using the remote and starts when reconnecting power to the alarm leads me to believe this is an alarm problem. A few web searches found me this forum so here I am. Any help would be awesome.

Very common problem That I have seen in these hondas.  There may be something wrong with your ignition switch.  Most likely if you have your car on "run" there probably is no power to the ign wire.  In other words, the lights on your dash don't light up.  The remote start on the other hand does give power to that wire when activated.  Your key inserted in the key cylinder doesn't therefore not staying on.  I saw this same problem happen to  94 accord which is the same as the 95

That makes a lot of sense. I totally spaced the the obvious difference in the two scenarios. I'll head down that path.

Any input of the car starting when the positve terminal is hooked up? For some reason that does not seem normal to me.

Actually that is normal with the car starting as soon as it receives power.  Thats why you have a hood pin switch.  The switch wont let the remote start turn on.  You also have a white sticker with red lettering that comes with the unit that tells you this.
