I installed a Dei 561r about 8 months ago. The owner says that if you allow the vehicle to sit for any length of time, (ie overnight) it will not start with the key. If she remote starts and drives it for awhile, it will then start with the key. I haven't had the van long enough to get it to not start yet. All connections are very secure, and I have gone over them 5 times. Any help is much appreciated!

I figured out that with my second starter wire (PURPLE / brown) Which is triggered thru a 180 ohm resistor if I disconnect this wire the van will start with the key. I checked the impedance of said resistor, it was 197 ohm, so I tried one that tests 182 ohm, it still does the same thing. I am questioning if I had this wired up correctly from the start? I have #30 off the relay as my out going thru the resistor to the 2nd starter wire(PURPLE / brown) I have 85&87 to ground, and 86 to the 561r main start out. not dioded. is this correct? Thanks

Thanks, I figured it out. I had the second starter relay triggering off the first starter wire. The problem with that is it was triggering when key starting too...Duh!! I am better than that, I don't know what I was thinking.
