Iam hooking up a viper 771xv and cannot seem to get the door lock hookup correct. Every help source is telling me that my truck should be reverse polarity because it's a 2 door. However, the wires read positive pulse on my meter.
lt blue -drivers kick--------reads 12v at lock
Tan (not black or black red) -drivers kick---------reads 12v at unlock
Isn't that positive pulse?
Thanks in advance!

if while you are holding the lock button and it stays at 12v then its positive,,, but i dont think the other color is a tan
GM mostly used black, white, blue....
if it is positive pulse, u will hear relays clicking inside.. they are either found in passenger kick panel, or high in dash on driver side..
an easier test is to cut the lock wire... if doors stop working, then its reverse polarity.. for the most part the big 3 did reverse on 2 doors..
Thanks for the reply eurobink. It turns out that there was a black wire in back of the bundle that i missed. That was the unlock wire. Now my locks are working great. Why was the tan reading unlock also?
I have to learn there is no such thing as a sure thing. If i HAD gone w/ the reverse polarity setup like most people's posts claim, It would have been time spent for nothing. I'm living proof that 2 door blazers ARE positive in some cases.
