i am very new to 12volt world. i have done some replacements of mechanical parts on my old altima but never done any electrical installations on a car. so please bare me. i just learned that i need some relays for this installation. but not sure what kind of relays that i need. i am also confused about need of key transponder bypass because my car does not have immobilizer. is it even better to have a professional install this unit?

i would recommend it.... it would be cheaper to pay a good installer to install it than to pay a dealer to fix all the stuff you could potentially blow up.....

Professional installation is always a good way to go if you don't know what you're doing.  You should take the time to go around town to different shops and see which one you feel is the best.  If you install it yourself and fry something, it's on you, but if the installer happens to fry something, it's on them.

However, if you decide that you want to do it yourself anyway, take the time to learn about the proceedure.  Read through the installation manual that came with the system completely.  That should answer your relay question. There's a lot of good information on this site, too, to get you started. If it seems a little overwhelming to you or you're unsure about it, have it done professionally.
