It's my first time doing a nissan and I notice they have a "second starter" and "second accessory." I'm installing a Clifford Matrix 3.5RSX

Now correct me if I'm wrong:
-second ignition-
Green (key side) -> Primary starter wire (cut) -> Purple (starter side)
Purple (starter side) -> Relay pin 85 / Relay pin 86 ->Gnd | +12 constant -> Relay pin 87 / Relay pin 30 -> Second starter wire (splice)

As for the second accessory do I need to hook that up? And if so do I use a realy or simply diode isolate/splice together?

TIA

Your clifford "should" have a bunch of secondary negative outputs (used for triggering relays) that are for starter, accs, and ign.

Use these outputs to trigger relays for your second starter, and accs.

The second-accessory powers the radio, and other non-essentials. I choose to leave it unpowered, to keep the radio quiet, but it is your choice.

Are you familiar with how the ribbon cable going to the relay pack works?

It just carries the negative, low-current signals from the brain, to trigger the relays.

You could cut the small pink/white in half......jump the "relay pack" side onto the small purple..............now your thick pink/white "ignition 2" will actually behave as "starter 2". That's easier/neater/cheaper than adding more external relays.

If it's your first time making such a modification, it's recommended after installation, you TEST the wires on the car during remote start, to be sure you got it right.

Thanks for the quick replies kartuneman and chris.

So Chris, yes I understand what you said.. I'll keep the 2nd accessory unwired. And I'll do the relay ribbon modification since I don't have a "ignition 2" to wire up in this car. But just to clarify I don't cut the small purple but only tap into it with the cut small pink/white comming from the brain - correct?

Ok now second question about the SECU. This sentra does not have power windows/locks so I'm assuming there is no SECU in this car as I cannot find it.
