wondering if anybody has done a starter on an 06 diesel golf. The latest diagram I have is an early 2005 from astrochart. Is it the same? If you're familiar with astro, which bypass modules work best for this rig?

Thanks,

Ryan

Use a Trilogix/DEI can 1 this will give lock/unlock window roll-up door etc contacts etc etc. For remote start use a DEI 556U, follow the European car set-up ie don't use the antenna loop.

PS If your car is has a manual transmission use a manual transmission capable remote start, I can't be held responsible for any accidents resulting in your car starting whilst in gear.

I did a 2007 Jetta recently. Definitely a time consuming car.

techservices.audiovox.com has information up to 2007. I didn't remember the ignition wire colors---I just tested those for myself---but the others were accurate.

Don't forget to also read their document for doing the parking lights.

I used Fortin's CAN-SL2i for the locks, Audiovox AS-TCBM for bypass, and I installed the bypass ring the regular way and it worked fine.

The ignition wires are especially difficult, and require taking apart parts of the bottom of the steering column. Be sure to allow extra time.

After the install, several dash lights will be on, but if you drive the car around a little bit, they'll go out.

Chris not the dreaded VW software glitch again posted_image I even obtained a special length #1 Philps screwdriver to get to the mustard cowling behind the steering wheel. Everytime I did a TT or Golf IV I wished I was on a Prozac prescription! Regards Howie.
