Hi, first time poster and, if you don't mind... a question already.

Had an alarm installed by Toyota dealership on a 2008 Highlander. It is a Code Alarm, but no model number is stated on the owners manual. It just say "Keyless entry upgrade security system", although it appears similar to CA330 owners manual.

Anyway, being a fool I played with the alarm and now it is messed up. Tried to use the CA330 installation manual to fix but didnt work since it seems slightly different.

Would anyone have an installation manual for my alarm...or know what model my alarm is? Live a long way from dealership so not worth going there.

Thanks!!!

What exactly is "messed up" about the system?

The programming is "messed up".

Before the alarm would arm after 15 secs (1 press) or immediately (2 presses), then disarm after 1 press.

Now, the starter cut-out switch arms itself after a certain period, and the remote will not disarm. Need to insert key and press override to start.

AFAIK, CA makes OE systems for Ford and Chrysler but not Toyota, could be wrong tho

I'm not a professional installer. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.
