I am trying to install keyless entry on my explorer and can't get the door locks to work. I'm installing a DEI Valet 711T which has relays for door locks. Supposedly it has a reverse polarity locking system. I checked the pink / YELLOW wire (lock wire) in the kick panel and it shows 12V at rest and ground when I hit the lock button. I tried hooking it up how it showed in the DEI manual for reverse polarity locks and nothing. Can someone please help?

POWER LOCK PINK / YELLOW (TYPE B) See NOTE *2  IN DRIVERS KICK PANEL
POWER UNLOCK PINK/LIGHT GREEN (TYPE B) See NOTE *2  IN DRIVERS KICK PANEL
On some vehicle with FACTORY ALARM or KEYLESS ENTRY, after the vehicle sets for a few minutes, if you cannot UNLOCK the door with the AFTERMARKET remote control it will be necessary to WAKE UP the GEM Module. See DIAGRAM, under DOOR UNLOCK, GEM WAKE UP DIAGRAM. IF the vehicle DOES NOT HAVE a FACTORY KEYLESS ENTRY or FACTORY ALARM it is a TYPE C Door Locking System.
